Most internet agencies charge a fee for their services. This is to ensure that time-wasters and tire kickers do not just join the scheme, take one job and fail to complete it on time thus involving the agency in charge backs and subsequent bank charges which can be a costly business for all concerned.
Also, there are the problems allied to data security when working from home. Most scammers on the internet would happily sign up to a free work scheme just to get hold of sensitive customer information and pass it on to either a competitor or another unscrupulous company who would use the information to create a mailing list and spam customers of the company who employs the agency.
Also, the agency will have spent money in research and development of the specialist software needed to run a successful data entry at home system. The charging of a fee also ensures that the workers will be less likely to try and pirate the software which comes as part of the work at home package.
Data entry at home companies vary from the downright rip-offs to very good companies who treat their employees fairly and enable a good living to be made from inputting data at home. The worst examples are those in which you pay an up-front fee and then rather than getting any proper data entry work, the employee is encouraged to recruit other people onto the scheme receiving a bonus for doing so.
This is illegal in most countries and is known as pyramid selling. No actual work exists or if it does, it involves mailing to friends, family and strangers. Sometimes ion the worst cases the work consists of mailing to people from a mailing list, you are acting as a paid spammer and it is your ISP who will close your account for breaking the anti-spam laws. The agency gets away with the offence and will simply recruit another employee who will suffer the same fate.
So choose your agency wisely and you will be confident that your data entry at home job is secure and above all complies with all the legal requirements of your state or country.
